1: Saat Mulaqatein:
Saat Mulaqatein is one of the best Pakistani Web series presented by Nashpati about a married couple separation because they were not happy together. The wife was tired of her husband because of his flirting nature and the husband is fed up with the constant complaints of the wife.
The wife has the view that after doing house chores and taking care of children no room left for romance. The husband complains that his wife does not watch his dramas because she is jealous of his success and the wife says that it seems fake to her because she knows him and this is the reason it seems to lie to her. They do not get a divorce and after separation keeps meeting with each other.
This Pakistani Webseries is a must watch as it is intense and the outstanding acting of Noman Ijaz and Zara Tareen make this no 1 on our list. Although there are only three characters in the Web Series and it is serious yet the acting of two amazing actors makes it worth watching.
2) Teeli Superheroes:
Teeli Superheroes is a Pakistani Webseries about different women who have different professions and one of them is a housemaker. This series is about the empowerment of women and their struggle to survive in their respective professions. This also shows that whether a woman is working outside of the home, she has to take care of her house and children and this makes her life more difficult.
To highlight the efforts of women and their powerful role in society, Teeli Superheroes is a must-watch Web Series. The best thing about this Web Series is it gives equal importance to those women who stay at home to take care of their family and has a ton of responsibilities but no one appreciates or encourages their efforts.
3) Ayesha:
Ayesha starring Yasra Rizvi and Sarmad Khoosat is a story about a woman whose husband is always busy and she is fed with her boring routine life. The reason is her husband always taunts her for being a housewife and that her only purpose in life is to cook and clean. One day at the suggestion of her friend, she starts a youtube channel, however, her husband has a problem with it and asks her to stop it.
On realizing her wife’s worth when his boss appreciates her youtube channel, the husband finally realizes and gives his permission to continue her channel and supports her. This a story about those women who want to work and can work from their homes in this digital era. It can be the story of many other women who are working on youtube or any other social media platform from home.
4) Mangoes the Series:
This web series is based on three friends in which two are Pakistani and one Indian. Aisha is an Indian girl who needs an apartment near her university, while Sami is from Pakistan and is already settled there and Rakay is the new one in Canada. This is one of the best web series that has a fresh concept and it is about their friendship and relationships with other people.
Mangoes is a Pakistani Canadian drama. Although this web series is about 7- years old it is worth watching. The first season is about the development of friendship between three people and then the next two seasons focus on their respective roles and relationships in society.
5) Summer Love:
Under the production of the famous channel Teeli, Summer Love is the story of two people who have different approach to life. In the beginning, they misunderstand each other but gradually fall in love. It is well appreciated by the Indian audience too. In fact more than the Pakistani audience, this Web series got more audience from Indians as can be seen in the comment section of Youtube.
Sami and Nida both work in the same office and the story is about their friendship to love relationship amid all the work burden. The ending of the Web series suggests that there will be a season two and fans of this Web series are waiting eagerly for the next season.
6) Middle Se Ooper:
Middle Se oopaer is a Web series about a middle-class family who shifts to a posh area. The story is about the hesitation to accept the true self but it is filled with light-hearted elements. While the other people in the family try to pretend like the upper class and try to fit in with them, their mother sticks to her natural self. The younger generation is very much impressed by modern society and tries to impress their neighbours by adopting their styles.
7) Shameless Proposals:
Shameless proposals is a criticism of the Pakistani marriage proposals tradition where the girl is rejected for various reasons. Under the production of Sadia Jabbar, this Web series covers the issue of the weird kind of marriage proposal that a girl gets and her reaction to these proposals. It is 2019 Web series and it criticizes marriage proposal traditions with humour.
8) iDeewane:
This is an almost seven years old Web series and it is about the friendship of four people. It is a small web series and the ending is sort of incomplete. Fans at that time demanded a proper ending however the makers of this web series must have forgotten the address of their youtube channel. Starring the famous Dhoom Bros, this is a binge-watching Web series and it was quite appreciated by people at that time.
9: Sevak: The Confessions (2022-):
This is one of the best Pakistani Web Series which is set in India. This popular Pakistani Web series is based on real events that happened in a specific period of time in India. Focusing on religious conflicts and riots, the series highlights some controversial issues. It basically highlights the riots between Hindus and Sikhs living in India. The series includes a huge cast including Hajra Yamin and Mohsin Abbas Haider in lead roles. Sevak is one of the action thriller Pakistani Webseries which has eight episodes.
10: Wadera in Love (2023):
Raza Samo is portraying the character who is Sindhi. It is a satire on the politics of Sindh and how political leaders work. This comedy Web series is about Shahnawaz who is trying to find his true love and in each episode he has a new crush and new hope. The first episode of Wadera in Love also includes Raza Samo’s real-life wife. Though she is not an actress she proved she can do wonders in future. Season 1 is on Youtube and it has four episodes.
Some other Pakistani Web Series:
Apart from the above-mentioned Web series, here are some not-so-popular Web series because of their content. I Frandship U, Miss Per-Fact, ChattKhara and Enaya.
Enaya and Miss Per-Fect are criticized by people a lot because of their similarities with the Indian Web series. Enaya is about a girl who wants to become a singer and it is based on university life. Miss Per-Fect has more a sort of irritating content and it is about a couple’s daily life routine and their fights.
Although Enaya has a popular cast like Mehwish Hayat and Faryal Mehmood, because of the bold concept, many could not find it interesting to watch. Moreover, it is also not available on Youtube. ChattKhara is also criticized for not-so-good comedy. However the problem with Enaya and Miss Per-Fect was not a bold concept, these Web series failed to provide a good storyline and acting.
