Dear Comrade is a 2019 Indian Telugu movie starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandana in lead roles. While people’s faith in Bollywood movies has lost long ago as they are making crap content, many are realizing that South Indian movies are better in content.
I am watching South Indian movies for quite a long time and where there are some funny movies in the sense that there is too much over-exaggeration in the movies. There are movies that have great storylines. I watch them in a dubbed version but still, the acting and emotions are remarkable. Apart from this, the story helps you to keep your eyes on the screen.
Brief storyline of Dear Comrade:
Dear Comrade is about a young man Bobby (played by Vijay) who is in the student union and basically always has fought with his opponents. He meets a girl (Lilly) that is also his neighbor’s daughter. He fell in love with her but the girl says that it’s too early for love confession and she has to go back to continue her studies and her career.
The hero of the film (Bobby) wander here and there for some time and finally one day he comes back and finds the girl in the hospital. Doctors and the girl’s parents tell him that she has gone through some accident and after it, she is in shock. She has injured her leg and due to it, she has quit her passion that was cricket.
One day Bobby takes Lilly with him and takes her into nature to heal her wounds physically and mentally. On their return, the girl father does not treat him well but he has done this all for his love and did not ask for anything in return.
After his departure, Lilly strongly feels her love for him. On the other side, the hero comes to know that some higher official in the Cricket team tried to molest her. Due to this shock and humiliation, she quit cricket.
He angrily entered that man’s office and beaten him up. The man filed a complaint against him and tries to defame Lily on media. During the investigation, Bobby denied his acquaintance with Lily and said that he has done all this to defame the man. However in reality, Bobby said all this to make Lilly speak and stand for her dignity.
At the end of trial, Bobby gets all the blame but Lily finally speaks at the end that the official not only tried to molest her but other girls too. The case goes in Lily’s favor and her lost confidence is regained at the end.
She makes her confession of love for Bobby and movies ends.
The reason to watch Dear Comrade and its meaning:
Now why I like this movie is because it is not a typical movie or even south. Like a man is following a girl to make her his own etc. The hero tries to restore the faith of the heroine on herself. He helps her to follow her passion again. He even takes all the blame for her so that she would not get defamation. This is what love is, to make other people a confident human being.
The story is beautiful and it’s not a typical Mirch masala type movie. It is what a story should be like.
The movie name is a comrade and it justifies it as it means a companion who is with you in every fight and as the heroine says in the movie it can be anyone from your blood relation to your friends to your lover.
It is a must-watch movie and if you are tired of Bollywood, you can give it a try.
