1: Mr Queen (2020-2021):
Mr Queen has set a mark in the comedy world and it is set in history. The story is based on a man who goes into a coma and his soul wakes up in a body of a woman. The twist is it is the body of a queen who is surrounded by lots of conspiracies. He tries his best to get rid of it but it is not easy. The drama shows his struggle to live with the body of a woman. He shows his cooking skills and become everyone’s favourite in the Joseon era. He solves older day problems with modern way techniques.

This is one of the best romantic historical comedy Korean dramas. The drama is set in the time when a young prince fell in love with a eunuch. The fun part is the eunuch is actually a girl who is in disguise to save herself from people. Their love creates a dramatic atmosphere as the people start talking bad about the prince and it can also be dangerous for his throne. Soon the Prince finds out about the reality of the eunuch but they hide her identity. The drama is also famously known as Moonlight Drawn by the Clouds. Love in the Moonlight cast includes Park Bo-gum, Kim Yoo-jung and Kwak Dong-yeon.
3: Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth (2017):
In the kingdom of Silla, they train rich youth for difficult situations and some of them have to serve the king. They are taught basic skills of fighting and also there is a test of their abilities and intelligence. The future king has sensed some conspiracies ad he disguised himself as a common ma and joined this group. There is also a poor man who joins the group.
Where there are conspiracies, there is fun, friendship and many scenes that can give you a good laugh. Although you will witness some tragic deaths too. Hwarang cast includes famous Korean actors like Park Seo-joon, Park Hyung-Sik, Go Ara, Seo Yea-Ji, Choi Min-Ho and BTS V also played an important role in the drama.
4: Tale of Nokdu (2019):
This historical comedy Korean drama is set in the Joseon era where a man is trapped in a widowed village. He is escaping from some people and disguises himself as a woman. He meets a girl there and fell in love with her. However, he has to live as a woman and some men also start liking him and this makes the situation funny. Jang Dong-yoon and Kim So-hyun played the lead roles in this historical comedy Kdrama.
5: Rooftop Prince (2012):
In most Korean historical dramas, people transfer from the present to the past. Rooftop Prince is one of those comedy historical dramas where the prince transfers to the future. He lands in a world that is 300 years ahead of his time. He finds a girl who resembles a dead princess from the past. He along with his friends’ lands on the rooftop of a girl and no one believes that they are from the past.
The drama is filled with so many funny scenes where he tries to fit in and understand the modern world. Rooftop Prince cast includes Park Yuchun, Han Ji-min, Jeong Yu-mi, Lee Tae-sung and Lee Tae-ri along with many others actors.
6: My Sassy Girl (2017):
The princess in the Joseon era does not have a good reputation as she is mischievous and does not follow the royal rules. She believes in tit for tat and everyone is worried. She meets an intelligent scholar and they usually fight a lot. They meet again and again and fell in love with each other after lots of bickering. There are also lots of conspiracies against the royal family. Joo Won and Oh Yeon-seo played the lead role in this historical comedy Korean drama.
7: 100 Days My Prince (2018):
A prince gets into an accident and loses his memory. He lands in a village and starts working as a peasant. He meets a girl who is also hiding her identity as she is a secret agent. She keeps an eye on the prince and keeps ordering him around. The prince however tries to maintain his manners but everyone thinks he is useless as he does not know how to do any chore. This is an amusing historical comedy Korean drama. Do Kyung-soo and Nam Ji-hyun played the lead roles.
